For a contest episode? For a one-parter? For one without Harley? I actually liked this (but that might've been due to the fact that Yuri, was...at least a little bit interesting. If a bit over-obsessed with Enka). But I thought it was presented well and that the timing was overall, actually decent. I mean, I didn't particularly overly like this episode. But it was okay.
Maybe it was the little nuances in it. Like, Ash falling asleep when he was supposed to be training and then waking up to discover that all his pogeys were sleeping too...Or maybe the epic end of the episode (which I have an epic picture of and greatly constitutes the power of the word epic because that's exactly what it is, being because it's awesome like that.) Or maybe the fact that it's the episode before the hopefully MOST AWESOME EVUR two-parter and that is what automatically makes it good or something like that.
DP 94 wasn't on my sauce at the time (read: yewtoob lulz, if anyone knows a better place then tell me) so I didn't see it. So you'll have to wait for that opinion.
....but seeing as the preview for the awesome two-parter is also a part of this episode, I can comment on that too.
OMG AKAGI AKAGI AKAGIIII. HE EXUDES AWESOME AND MANLY. I mean, I don't find manly hot? Like, at all? But the thought's still decidedly nice. Also, he has a suit because he is awesome and stuff. And suits are awesome because they just are since Akagi is wearing one and he exudes total badass of awesome.
....now that you're done reading this kinda pointless rant about Akagi and his awesome, I hope that this 2-parter doesn't suck, or I will RAGE. Rage 'gainst the Machine-type rage. Because if they fuck up Akagi (speaking of which, he has emotions, but I think that makes him better, at least for now) then there will be HELL TO PAY AAAHHH.
And I can tell that at least half of you agree with me. ;D but i wouldn't worry because Akagi is awesome and should feel awesome.
